MRS BILL'S PHILOSOPHIES |
Step 1: Be healthy. Physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Body, mind and spirit work together, and you cannot be healthy if these are out of balance. You cannot be healthy if you do not respect yourself and you are not healthy if you do not respect others. Understand that we are all travelling our own paths. You harm yourself more than others if you expect everyone else to be just like you. |
Step 2: Humour. Get it. Use it. |
Step 3: Reality. Find it. Keep it. Some people are able to work, and some people want to find different jobs. Some people are not able to work, and want to be recognized as useful in their own rights. Volunteer, if you can. Be a friend. Be a pet owner, or be friends with someone who is. |
Physically, be the best possible you.
Perhaps you deal with conditions such as Fibromyalgia, also known
as FMS, which means constant pain and fatigue with no known cause
and no known cure. Education and support are crucial to living with
chronic pain. Perhaps you deal with, or love someone who deals with,
conditions such as migraines,
panic
attacks,
Crohn's and Colitis, Dyslexia,
chronic hand pain, or
IBS. Learn about, and
how to live with, these conditions.
Emotionally, be the best possible you.
Expand your dreams. Expand your horizons. If we forget the past, we are
bound to repeat it - because we have not yet learned our lessons. If we
wallow in pity or anger over the past, we are bound to repeat it - again,
because we have not yet learned our lessons. If some part of your past
is indeed limiting you in the present, talk to those who understand and
can help. We can all thrive, if we so choose. Consider joining a club to
expand your horizons. Check out DartDood or call the Walmac dart league
at (780) 466-1702 for information on dart leagues in Edmonton.
Spiritually, be the best possible you.
For some people, organized religion provides spiritual growth and comfort.
For others, spiritual growth and comfort is found by walking other paths.
At no time does spiritual growth include negativity towards others. While
negative thoughts occur as part of the human experience, any person who
encourages such thoughts or actions is not truly leading
anyone into growth.
