The Society for Injured Birds of Prey |
You can help! |
Late in December 2000, a fire
destroyed the new building for recovering birds of prey near
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The building cost $80,000, a sum which
took 10 years for the Society to accumulate. As this building was
not yet insured, the only way the Society can rebuild is with help.
Tragedy can strike any of us at any time. The birds in this sanctuary were already suffering from trauma when they arrived. It's time to take a stand and make a difference. Those of us who know about ecology understand the importance of birds of prey in the wild. Those of us who don't understand this can learn a great deal by supporting this cause. No harm can come from offering help of this nature! And the Society is a registered charity, so donations are tax-deductible. |
How can you help? |
If you live in Alberta, go to any
Canada Trust branch to make a tax-deductible donation to the fund for
the Society for Injured Birds of Prey.
If you live elsewhere in Canada, contact your nearest Canada Trust branch to see if they can provide you with the tax receipt for your donation. It may be hard to imagine that a $5 or $10 donation will help. It will. If you can donate $100 or $1,000, the recovering birds will be much closer to having suitable living conditions. You will see benefits on your income tax as well as in the environment! I am not affiliated with this registered charity. If you want me to send messages of support to the Society, email me and I'll do my best. |
